Blade Runner 2099 is no longer just a title in development. Prime Video has officially confirmed the project as a limited series, with an 8-episode order designed to deliver a complete story from start to finish.
The move signals that the studio does not intend to stretch the property across multiple seasons. Instead, the 8 episodes will form one self-contained arc, which is a noticeably different approach from ongoing franchise television.
All episodes are scheduled to debut together on Prime Video on November 25. There will be no season 2.
